Step 1:  Select a TEMPO data product and parameter(s)

The data subset options include the ability to select data product types and choose a selection of parameters to extract. Data parameters have been grouped together based on type and are listed in the left most window.

If you choose not to select parameters, then a default package (latitude, longitude and time) is put into the resulting output file. The selected parameter grouping(s) are added to the center window. The far right window displays a complete listing of the data parameters that will be included in your output file.

Users wanting all data variables in the file must select all parameter groupings.

Step 2:  Select a temporal range (optional)

Use the temporal options to narrow your search to a specific temporal domain. If you do not make a temporal selection, the search will use the complete range of time for which the satellite data were available. If you limit the search to a specific time domain, all available data that intersect the selected time range will be returned.

Calendar dates

This early public release of the ASDC TEMPO Subsetter supports subsetting of two weeks of preliminary, unvalidated TEMPO observations obtained during nominal operations from December 17-30, 2023, and eight days of commissioning observations obtained during August 2023: 2, 9, 16, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26.

To change the date range, you may either click on the text area and select a predefined range from the drop-down menu or enter your own date with the format "yyyy-mm-dd".

Step 3:  Select a geospatial range (optional)

Use the geospatial options to narrow your search to a specific geospatial area. If you do not make a geospatial selection, the default is to search the entire North America. If you limit your search to a specific area, the search will return all available data that intersect with your selected area.

Modify the geospatial fields to specify your area of interest, or use your mouse directly on the map to draw your area of interest by clicking and dragging. The map uses latitude/longitude bounds (north, south, east, and west) to define the area of a box. If you use the mouse to draw the area on the map, the fields are filled in automatically, based on the area drawn. Simply click on the remove drawing button to clear your selection and reset the geospatial fields.

Latitudes and longitudes are in Decimal Degrees (DD) format.

Use: '-' for east and west longitudes. Example: (40.68, -74.04) (Lat, Lon)

Use the tools below to navigate the map interface, draw desired subsetting area i.e., point, polygon, bounding box or select to use the latitude/longitude bounds (north, south, east, and west) to define a bounding box (rectangle) in the map interface or type desired subsetting bounds as GeoJSON objects.

Navigate Use map controls to navigate the map interface. Note: Selecting this option is only needed when creating a bounding box.

Draw point Click a location on the map or type latitude/longitude coordinates in the text box below.

Draw polygon Draw a polygon on the map manually or type polygon coordinates in the text box below.

Draw bounding box Click and drag a bounding box (rectangle) on the map or type box coordinates in the text box below.

Use latitude/longitude bounds Use latitude/longitude bounds (top, bottom, left, and right) to define the area of a box
